TSXM – GREAT BAY – During a raid and search on Sunday evening in two apartments on Welfare Road, police officers arrested 5 persons.
The raid was done due to the suspicion of illegal drug activities. Two persons were arrested for their illegal status on the island and three for the possession of illegal drugs.
During the search over $2300 in cash, €110 and 75 guilders, was found along with two bricks of compacted marihuana, 6 XTC pills and 14 small plastic bags containing an amount of hashish.
The money and drugs were confiscated for further investigation, where all suspects remain in custody for further investigation as well.
