MARIGOT–The Coralita Road in French Quarter was once again the venue to settle scores when a young man said to be from St. Kitts was struck by three bullets in an attempted homicide on Saturday night. The victim was transported to the Louis Constant Fleming Hospital where he is being treated and expected to recover.
Capitaine Mathieu Glavieux said the victim was hit with two bullets in the shoulder and another bullet grazed his face.
Glavieux disclosed two individuals had given themselves up at the Gendarmerie later and were subsequently arrested at about 1:00am Sunday morning. It was not clear if one or both individuals had fired the shots. The reason for the attack on the victim was not known either. The pair will be transferred to Guadeloupe today.
The latest shooting comes two weeks after Odelmo Williams from St. Kitts was shot dead, also in French Quarter. And just a week ago, a barber named Pablo was fatally shot in Grand Case.
